Best Conditions for Learning
We believe that it is very important to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment where students have enough time to settle down, socialize, and get comfortable before lessons. Light meals are provided to make sure that students are ready to engage in lessons, and not hungry.
私たちは、安全で快適な学習環境を提供することが非常に重要であると考えています。レッスンの前に、生徒が落ち着き、友達と交流し、快適に過ごせるよう十分な時間を設けます。軽食も用意され、お腹を空かせてレッスンに臨むことがないように配慮しています。。

Sowing the Seeds of Future Learning
Our aim is to provide an education that will fuel the students’ learning well into the future beyond graduating from Aozora. In order to achieve that, our lessons focus not only on language acquisition but also on the cultural aspects of Japan. It is our hope that the love for Japanese culture they developed here at Aozora will inspire them to want to continue to learn more about Japan in the future. Moreover, we encourage self-initiated learning by offering the students themselves the opportunity to choose what they want to learn. This is especially appealing and engaging for students in the higher grade levels.
あおぞらを卒業した後も、将来の学びの種となるような教育を提供したいと考えています。そのために、言葉の習得だけでなく、日本の文化的な側面も重視した授業を行っています。あおぞらで培った日本文化への愛着が、将来、日本についてもっと知りたいと思うきっかけになってくれればと願っています。また、特に高学年の生徒には、自分で学びたいことを選択する機会を設け、自主的な学習を促しています。
家族へのサポート
Support for Families
Besides providing a good education, as a “community,” we also extend our support to families. Fostering and supporting ideas initiated by the families such as having lunch together after lessons on Saturdays and picking up each others students after school.
良い教育を提供するだけでなく、コミュニティとして、家庭への支援も行いたいと考えています。土曜日の授業後のランチや、放課後のお迎えなど、家庭への配慮から提案されました。
多様性＆インクルージョン
Diversity and Inclusion
We embrace the diversity of the community and value inclusion. Students of all ethnic backgrounds are welcome here, and the Japanese Language Learners’ class is offered to include students with limited previous experience of learning Japanese. We also understand that students join Aozora with different expectations, interests, and learning needs. In order to meet their expectations and needs, we offer online elective classes with different levels and content focus.
私たちは、地域の多様性を受け入れ、インクルージョンを大切にしています。どのような民族的背景を持つ生徒も歓迎し、日本語学習経験の浅い生徒のために日本語学習者のクラスも設けています。また、生徒がさまざまな期待、興味、学習ニーズを持ってあおぞらに参加していることを理解しています。その期待やニーズに応えるため、レベルや内容の異なるオンライン選択授業を実施します。
