Welcome to Aozora Community!
Aozora Community (“Aozora” means blue sky in Japanese) is an educational and cultural non-profit organization (501c (3)) located in Brooklyn, NY.
Our vision is to foster a community of curious, open-minded and caring global citizens. As Brooklyn’s only Japanese and English bilingual school, our mission is to provide quality education rooted in Japanese values, morals, and spirit. As part of that mission we create programs and events for people to connect, share resources and celebrate one another.

好奇心旺盛で、広い視野を持つ、思いやりのある地球市民が集うコミュニティづくりを目指しています。ブルックリン唯一の日英バイリンガルスクールとして、日本的な価値観やモラル、精神を基盤とした質の高い教育を提供すると共に、人々が繋がり、リソースをシェアし、お互いを尊重し助け合えるプログラムや機会づくりを行なっております。
Aozora Programs
Preschool Program
Aozora’s preschool program is a play-based and bilingual (Japanese and English) program for children ages 2 to 5 years old.
Aozora Academy
Aozora Academy is a wonderful option for expanding your elementary-school-age and middle-school age child’s love of Japanese culture and language. We are offering Japanese Immersion Class (10 month program) and Japanese Literacy Classes (by term).
Community Events
Aozora Community Foundation host various Japanese family events throughout the year.
Camps
Aozora Community offers Summer Camp in July and August to the age group from 3 to 9 years old. We also host a Mid Winter Break Camp in February and Spring Break Camp in April to the age group from 3 to 5 years old.
