Join us for the Aozora's School Year Day Camps! Children will be immersed in Japanese culture and language during the camp as the program is held in Japanese and all of the day-camp themes are specifically selected to deepen the children’s connection and understanding of Japan and Japanese culture. The program is for children from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. All the activities will be held in Japanese. Thus, attending students must be able to understand Japanese instruction. Children will also enjoy freshly prepared lunch served for the camp. あおぞらスクールイヤー・デイキャンプへのご案内！あおぞらデイキャンプでは、子どもたちが奥深い日本文化に触れ、日本へのつながりを感じてくれるような題材を選びました。クラスは完全に日本語で行われますので、子どもたちは日本語にどっぷり浸かり日本語を練習をすることができます。対象はキンダーから5年生まで。全てのアクティビティは日本語で行われますので、教室内での日本語の指示や会話が理解できることが参加の条件となります。ほかほかで美味しい給食もついてきます。

  • Yayoi Kusama (草間 彌生) is a well-known Japanese contemporary artist who features polka dots prominently in her artwork. She is sometimes referred to as the ”princess of polka dots”.

    On March 29, 2024, our day camp is immersed in the magical world of Yayoi Kusama's art. Our campers will enjoy a journey inspired by Kusama's iconic works. Campers will engage in hands-on activities, transforming everyday objects into masterpieces, just like Kusama herself does. Through collaborative projects and individual expressions, we aim to foster a love for art while celebrating the joy and wonder that Yayoi Kusama's art brings to the world.

    弥生草間（Yayoi Kusama）は、水玉模様を使用した芸術作品で知られる日本の現代アーティストです。彼女は時折「水玉模様のプリンセス」とも呼ばれています。

    2024年3月29日、あおぞらデイキャンプでは、草間弥生の芸術の世界にどっぷり浸ります。キャンプ参加者は、草間弥生の作品を学び、そこからたくさんインスピレーションを得て創作活動を楽しみます。キャンパーたちは、草間彌生のように、ありふれた日常の物をアートの傑作に変えていきます。共同のプロジェクトと個々の表現を通じて、草間弥生の芸術が世界にもたらす喜びと驚きをともに楽しみます。

  • In this camp, we will explore the joy of hanami （お花見）, the Japanese tradition of enjoying the beauty of cherry blossoms during spring. Amidst the blooming sakura flowers, we'll share delightful moments and participate in creative arts and crafts activities. Join us for this wonderful adventure where nature and art come together. Weather permitting, we are planning on spending a large portion of the day at the park on that day. Join in!
